LIQUIDTIGHT
Liquidtight flexible metallic conduit is both listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. and certified by Canadian Standards Association
and offers outstanding protection against wet, oily conditions. Liquidtight is permitted for use in exposed or concealed locations and is
approved for use with Information Technology Equipment in raised floor environments (NEC 645) when that environment has separate
electrical, mechanical, HVAC and fire suppression zones. Liquidtight is not "Plenum Rated" but it is "Plenum Allowable". The flexible inner
core is made from a spiral wound strip of heavy gauge, corrosion resistant, hot-dipped galvanized steel and the 3/8 through 1-1/4 inch
trade sizes are square lock formed and include an integral bonding strip of copper that is enclosed within the convolutions throughout their
entire length which insures a stable ground and reduces EMI, RFI and cable "cross talk". The Liquidtight jacketing material is of a high
quality, rugged, flame retardant flexible PVC compound which resists oils, mild acids and exposure to sunlight.
Liquidtight gained popularity with the advent of Data Center and Critical Site construction and "Computer Blue" Liquidtight has come to be
universally recognized as the standard conduit type for circuits dedicated for information technology equipment. In recent years, multi-tiered
levels of redundant power systems have created a market requirement for additional colors as well. Power Cabling stocks a wide variety of
colors of Liquidtight conduit to help easily identify different sources of power.
